AFI Fest 2018 is Coming to Hollywood!

The French Film and TV Office at the Consulate is proud to support 19 French films and co-productions screenings during the AFI FEST presented by Audi 2018 from November 8th to 15th in Hollywood.

This year features numerous French productions and co-productions: Olivier Assayas’Non-Fiction, with Juliette Binoche, Mia Hansen-Løve’s Maya, Yann Gonzalez’s Knife + Heart with Vanessa Paradis, Chantal Akerman’s Meetings of Anna and much more!

KNIFE + HEART (UN COUTEAU DANS LE COEUR)

First premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and is the latest piece of proactive work by Yann Gonzales. This modern slasher film tells the story of a female producer named Anne, played by Vanessa Paradis, who works in the thrilling world of gay porn in Paris during the 1970s. As someone begins to stalk and murder members on set of one of the productions, tension begin to rise, as Anne realizes, she may be next.

It will be screening at the AFI Festival on Nov. 9th at 11:59pm and Nov.10th at 12:15 pm, at the Chinese Theatre.

MEETINGS OF ANNA

Screening at this years AFI Festival is Chantal Akerman’s Meetings of Anna. Anna, played by Aurore Clément, is a filmmaker who has various strange encounters with people as she travels from city to city while she is promoting her latest film. It will screen at this years AFI Festival on Nov. 15th at 5:15pm at the Chinese Theatre.
